Cycling with Native Planet Adventures - FAQ

Easier route alternative with less elevation

Apart from the Passes of the Pyrenees which is probably France's most challenging itinerant ride packed with the legendary passes most cyclists dream of, most other tours offer daily rides with shorter distances and less elevation gain, and more than one opportunity to take a rest day. We may also be able to offer you a self-guided alternative route with a lot less elevation gain. Careful, this does not mean that you can join these tours without a good fitness level. For the strongest cyclists, these tours (Alps, Corsica) will also challenge you as we will offer guided optional climbs with more distance and elevation on equally spectacular roads. Our Dordogne Tour offers the shortest distances and least elevation (with additional optional daily rides), and are open to all cyclists who are reasonably fit. Check each tour's daily distances and elevation gain with or without optional climbs/rides for more information.

Is transportation from the US included in this tour?

Roundtrip transport to the tour is not included.

Double vs. Single Occupancy

Prices are per person, sharing a double room. If you travel alone and do not wish to share a room, single rooms may be available for an additional fee. Please let us know when you register and at least 90 days prior to departure.

What are my lunch options?

Every day your guide will offer suggestions on where to stop for lunch (local restaurants, little cafés, nice bakeries, local markets) or optional lunches can be reserved and will be delivered by our support vehicle. On the Corsica tour lunches are included and will be served in the form of picnics.
