Choosing your tour with or without vehicle support: Pros and cons.

Do I need a support vehicle? There are definite advantages in having a support vehicle to carry your extra clothing, food, drinks, or spare parts up the hills, particularly if you're having a difficult day and would prefer to skip a first mountain pass to save your energy for the main climb. The support vehicle is particularly useful for a family or group of friends of different levels riding together. If you want to enjoy the Pyrenees with your non-riding spouse, or if your pace or distance/elevation goals are very different and particularly for a group of more than 4 people, we highly recommend that you take our support vehicle services. However, and especially for one or two people, it is not necessary as all our rides are designed as single day rides where we will return to the same auberge every night (only one change of lodging for our 8 day tour). When we ride we will not need to transport any bags. The same way you ride from home, you will just have to plan the appropriate clothing you need for the day (warm wind/waterproof jacket to go down the mountains, layers to go up). By opting out of our support vehicle services, an individual or small group of people can save a significant amount of money. In case of an emergency (mechanical problem or others), we can always call you a taxi.
