The degree of Mont Ventoux's challenge depends on both your cycling experience and pain tolerance: you can choose the standard route starting in Bedoin and call it a day, or you can choose to continue climbing it from its second and even third side. Those who attempt all three sides in one day will, with great difficulty, have earned the right to belong to the "Club des Cinglés" (Club of the Crazies) while the more sane among you can climb the other sides on another day or follow Jean-Philippe along small scenic mountain roads through many of France's most beautiful villages.
