"Le Mont Ventoux Challenge and Beautiful Surrounding Provence"
September 24-29, 2008

Mt Ventoux can be a classic climb of the Tour de France or the monster of your cycling life, depending on how many times you plan to climb it in one day!

Only a highly trained climber with a great pain tolerance should try to climb Mt Ventoux from all three sides in one day (a total of 14,655ft). You may have done that elevation in one day before, but probably NOT over a mere 84 miles where the notorious winds that blow over the top of Mt Ventoux force you to climb the last miles in your drops. If the challenge seems tempting, think about it twice and review these profiles carefully; the good news is that you'll probably find a great group of crazies, to climb it with!
